The Federal Boulevard Partnership Streetscape Design Committee is prepared to present drawings and illustrations of  twelve streetscape concepts, which were developed from the public Design Workshop convened in the spring (see recap article below). Calling all Jefferson Park Neighbors !

Join us for the JPUN April Happy Hour at the Aquarium – and experience the best “Dive” bar in the city. Drinks, munchies, and really big fish provided! Bring the kids.

Parking is available in the Aquarium Lot – validation to be provided inside. Free parking is also available in the dirt lot across from El Senor Sol – no validation  necessary.

Wednesday evening March 16th at the Federal Boulevard Partnership’s annual spring meeting titled “Candidates Night Out”, Council District One voters got a first look at mayoral and council candidates. The Partnership video taped each candidate, find links below.

Candidates included (with video link), Larry Ambrose, Katherine Cornwell, John Haney, Ken Padilla, Susan Shepherd and Jeffrey Schitter. Unlike last year’s special election to replace the Council vacancy left by Rick Garcia, this race requires a runoff if no candidates receives 50% of the vote May 3rd – a sure bet with seven candidates on the ballot.

Also at the meeting, mayoral candidates addressed the crowd. Mayoral candidates with video links included Thomas Wolf, Theresa Spahn, Carol Boigon, James Mejia, Doug Linkhart and Michael Hancock.

The Federal Boulevard Partnership has asked JPUN to pass along this invitation to their Spring Public Meeting featuring Mayoral and City Council Candidates, along with Elected Officials. The meeting will be held on Wed, March 16th at Adams Mystery Playhouse starting at 6pm. Please see the attached flyer for details.

What is your vision for the “look and feel”, with the type of places you like to visit or shop along portions of the Boulevard and Jefferson Park Town Square? The Partnership is hoping to help answer these questions for a pilot area along several blocks of Federal Boulevard and W. 25th Avenue in Jefferson Park in the coming months.

The Partnership in collaboration with Jefferson Park United Neighbors is now set to kick-off the design portion of the Streetscape project with the first public meeting Thursday, February 24, 6:30 PM (6:00 sign-in and social) at the Adams Mystery Playhouse (AMP), 2406 Federal. Continue reading →

Due to weather, the JPUN Happy Hour/informal General Membership Meeting has been postponed until Thursday, February 24th, from 5:30 – 6:30 at the Adams Mystery Playhouse.  The Federal Boulevard Partnership presentation and meeting will be held immediately following.  We hope to see you there!
