USA PRO CYCLING CHALLENGE – DOWNTOWN STREET CLOSURES THIS WEEKEND

The fifth USA Pro Challenge is the most demanding professional bike race ever held on American soil and returns to Colorado from August 17-23, with a grand finish and festival at Civic Center Park in downtown Denver on Sunday, August 23.

Stage 7 of the Pro Challenge will start in Golden.The riders will race through town then climb Lookout Mountain before their descent into Denver, entering from Lakewood at 29th. The riders will then speed through four fast laps around downtown, 17th and City Park.

8:30AM                    FULL CLOSURE AROUND CIVIC CENTER PARK
11:00AM                  FESTIVAL OPENS
2:00PM                    FULL COURSE CLOSED TO TRAFFIC
2:35PM – 3:45PM     DENVER CIRCUIT!
4PM                          AWARDS CEREMONY
5PM                          FESTIVAL CLOSES

WHERE TO WATCH

You can watch the race nearly anywhere along the route for free, and there will be particularly good viewing at Civic Center Park, along 17th and in the City Park loop.
