DENVER — The Denver Broncos, along with partners Children’s Hospital Colorado, UCHealth, 24 Hour Fitness, King Soopers, 9NEWS and Chick-fil-A, will host the fifth annual Broncos 7K at Sports Authority Field at Mile High on Sunday beginning at 8:30 a.m.
All participants and spectators at the Broncos 7K are also invited to attend the third annual Broncos Fit Expo beginning in the stadium’s concourse level at 8:30 a.m.
“The city of Denver boasts a passionate Broncos fan base that extends well beyond gameday,” Broncos Director of Marketing Ted Santiago said. “Our goal with the Broncos Fit Expo, the Broncos 7K and all of our Broncos Fit programs is to strive to have the healthiest fans in the NFL.”
Media are invited to cover both events and can park on the south side of the stadium (Lots A, B and C).
As a part of the Broncos Fit initiative, proceeds from the Broncos 7K will benefit the National Sports Center for the Disabled (NSCD). The Broncos 7K allows fans to experience the beautiful Sloan’s Lake neighborhood, run through the Broncos horsehead inflatable tunnel and finish the race on the 50-yard line inside the stadium.
All participants will receive an extra-large finisher’s medal and a Broncos retro jersey-style T-shirt. They will also have the opportunity to participate in additional race festivities, including a Kids’ Fun Run, raffle prizes and post-race food and drinks.
On race day, registration and packet pickup will begin at 6:30 a.m., with the race starting at 8:30 a.m. (waves of participants will be released every 5-10 minutes). The Kids’ Fun Run, presented by Children’s Colorado, begins at 11:30 a.m.
